Tags in Blogs are definitely useful as they are an intuitive way of organizing entries. They can be looked upon as labels associated with documents. LJ has relatively recently introduced tags. Drupal, wordpress etc. have had them around for longer. I am on this long term search for the holy grail blog aggregator. So, while Tejaswi finishes his project : - Blog entries of various people with tags, can be crawled (or picked off feeds). - Something like Cross-training can be applied to discover and explore mappings between these tags. - Grouping of blog entries by type (closely related tags) rather than person can then follow. - 'Closely related' can be interactively defined to arbitrary levels of complexity or simple heuristics and groupings. - Other possible applications here too. I'd like comments on this. If something like this exists, please let me know too. arnabdotorg, Tejaswi? Tags: blogs, mining, technical, text Current Mood: writing
