The Blank Noise Project came up repeatedly in conversations and blog posts all over yesterday (International Womens Day). It is about street eve-teasing in the cities. It is so easy to pass unthinking judgement on this subject, but it is wiser to try and understand. When Ramanand posted about it, I went and read the blog and the associated blogathon, Hemangini's train trip report to Chennai, and Amit Verma's pledge on the matter. I too have nothing to add to the matter apart from what others have written so well. Ladies, you didn't ask for it, so don't stand up to eve-teasing. Maybe easier said than done, but you have at least one more drop of support from me. May you all achieve the force of the ocean one day soon.
