On a BOM-DEL Kingfisher flight last month, I was surprised to find quite a few mosquitoes aboard. I wrote about it as a point of concern in their feedback forms which I usually avoid filling. Guess what, Vijay Mallya himself replied to me! :-) =============== Dear Shantanu, Thank you for writing to me through the Good Times Monitor on your flight IT301 from Mumbai to Delhi on 10th April 2006. While I must admit that it has taken me some time to respond to your feedback, all issues that are brought to my attention through the Good Times Monitors are immediately looked into and the feedback is shared with my team. Shantanu, I am sorry to note that you were inconvenienced by the presence of mosquitoes on your flight. Before take-off, our teams conduct checks to ensure that the cabin is clean and serviced. Unfortunately, we were not able to keep up our usual standards in this area. I absolutely understand your disappointment and am sorry that you have had this experience. I have shared your feedback with my team and the concerned personnel have been corrected for this lapse in delivery of service. We are working hard to get every aspect of our service right for each of our guests, so it is genuinely helpful to have your feedback. I look forward to welcoming you on board Kingfisher Airlines soon. Yours sincerely, Dr. Vijay Mallya MP Chairman and CEO Kingfisher Airlines Limited A UB Group Company =============== Yeah yeah, I know he didn't write this himself, but this is a decent effort as canned responses go. To take nothing away form Kingfisher, I still love to fly them and they usually rock. Nice touch mate. Your beer rocks and I wish you had sent me a drink-free-kingfisher pass valid for a year instead of this mail ;-) Tags: beer, flying, kingfisher, travel Current Location: Delhi Current Mood: waiting Current Music: Call of Duty 2 soundtrack
