Turns out the wireless service isn't http only. For some reason I assumed it would be 'browsers-only'. Then figured the browser based authentication must be registering my MAC or something on the router. All ports seem to be open and I can even connect to my office VPN though I don't see why I would/should need to. No certain people to chat with either today.

Ok. Since this is a first for me, I am impressed.

I am sitting in IGI airport before a DEL-BOM flight departure. I switch on my laptop to read something to beat boredom, and guess what? My wireless card discovers a wi-fi network. The airport is a wireless hotspot! So off I go, register for a Rs. 50 access plan, and I am networked. Not usually a conection junkie, I love this.

I also now love my new fingerprint secured laptop more and more :)
